Dr. Abhishek Mandal is presently working as a Postdoctoral Associate at UMass Chan Medical School in the field of gastroenterology. His current research focuses on Alcohol associated Liver disease (AALD). He is trained in immunology/cell biology of infectious disease and metabolic disease. His previous research experience includes in the field of visceral leishmaniasis (VL), Post Kala-azar Dermal Leishmaniasis, diarrheal disease, melioidosis and Prostate cancer. Dr. Mandal has research expertise in the field of both basic and applied research (diagnostic, vaccine and clinical research).
