个人简介
Prabhat Kumar Upadhyay (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 2011.
He joined IIT Indore, Indore, India, as an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering, in 2012, where he became an Associate Professor in 2017 and a Full Professor in 2022. He was a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland, from May 2022 to August 2022, under Nokia Foundation Fellowship. He is leading a Wireless Communication (WiCom) Research Group, IIT Indore, which is actively involved in cutting-edge research and development to cater to the emerging needs of the next-generation wireless communication systems. He has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and has authored a book and six book chapters. His main research interests include cooperative and cognitive radio techniques, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) signal processing, hybrid satellite-terrestrial systems, energy harvesting, physical layer security, the Internet of Things (IoT) networks, molecular communications, and nano-networks.
Prof. Upadhyay is a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and the Institution of Engineers, India. He has also been involved in the Technical Program Committee of several IEEE premier conferences. He received the Exemplary Editor Award of the IEEE Communications Letters in 2021. He has been awarded the Sir Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, from 2018 to 2023. He was conferred with IETE-Prof SVC Aiya Memorial Award in 2018. He has coauthored a paper that received the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Advanced Communication Technologies and Networking (CommNet), Morocco, in 2018. He received the Best Technology Development Award by IIT Indore in 2017. He served as a Guest Editor for the Special Issue on Energy-Harvesting Cognitive Radio Networks of the IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking in 2018 and as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access from January 2018 to January 2022. He is currently serving as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and IEEE Communications Letters.
