I am currently Professor and Chair of Biomedical Engineering at Queensland University of Technology. Given my extensive experience in a broad range of engineering fields including mechanics, materials and structural engineering, and biomedical engineering my role is to link various disciplines involved in tissue engineering, e.g., orthopaedic surgeons, material scientists, and basic biologists to utilise innovative multidisciplinary approaches to musculoskeletal tissue reconstruction.
