In Radiotherapy, AI is increasingly becoming a key enabling technology. My research supports the department research strategy by focusing on using AI to perform automated segmentations of tumours and normal tissues (organs at risk), predict tumour control and toxicity, and automate radiotherapy treatment planning (photons and protons). The goal is to translate my research outcomes into clinical practice to enable more individualized approaches and to achieve seamless image guided adaptive radiotherapy strategies with optimal human-machine interfaces to allow responsible implementation and use of AI.
