​I am one of the scientists responsible for the MuSR spectrometer at ISIS, I organise the ISIS Muon Training School, and I serve as the secretary of the International Society for Muon Spectroscopy. In 2014 the American Physical Society recognised me as an Outstanding Referee​.
My research largely uses muon spectroscopy to study ionic diffusion, magnetism, and superconductivity. Some scientific highlights are listed below and a full list of my publications is available through ORCID or Researcher ID.​
I am a co-investigator on the Faraday Institution Fast Start Project FutureCat characterising the ionic motion in newly synthesised Li-ion cathode materials and received funding from SINE2020 to develop online learning materials about muon spectroscopy that are hosted at e-neutrons.org.
