I am interested in the application of epidemiological principles in the very widest sense. Everything from population analytics and the exploitation of linked databases, through its use in early diagnosis and the study of complicated subjects like violence right through to matters of health care delivery and governance. This broad scope results from a career that has involved as much service work and leadership as it has pure academia and I have a preference for work with practical application.
