Patrick Coyle

Hello! My name is Pat and I am an Assistant Professor of Management and Leadership at La Salle University. My research focuses on three aspects of OBHR: 1) leadership, 2) individual differences, and 3) organizational effectiveness. My expertise in leadership centers on the leadership process (perceptions of leaders, followership, and leader-follower relationships). My work in the area of individual differences focuses on the measurement and outcomes of motivational approaches to personality (e.g. goal orientation and approach-avoidance). In the area of organizational effectiveness, I’ve focused on increasing effectiveness by means of improving organizational outcomes (e.g. OCB, WFC). Imperative to my research is a strong emphasis on research and quantitative methods.
