个人简介
Paolo Minetola was born in Torino, Italy, in 1976. He received the B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Terrassa, Spain, in 1998. He received the M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree in production systems engineering in 2006, both from Politecnico di Torino.
From 2006 to 2015, he was an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Torino. He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP), Politecnico di Torino. His research interests include 3D printing, additive manufacturing (AM), 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and metrology.
Prof. Minetola is the author and coauthor of over 40 papers published in national and international conference proceedings and scientific journals. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Interuniversity Centre CIRTIBS of the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy. In 2015, he won the first prize in “The Cubesat Challenge,” a design challenge promoted and sponsored by Stratasys Vertical Solutions − Aerospace about the optimization for additive manufacturing of the structure of small research satellites.
