Paul O'Connor

My research has focuses on historical hydrological drought. As part of my PhD I reconstructed 250 years of river flows values for 51 river catchments in Ireland using multiple hydrological modelling techniques. I employed drought indicators to examine spatial and temporal changes in drought characteristics and have linked reconstructed drought indicators to historical written records . I am currently working on the IHRN project, updating and advancing the Irish Hydrometric Reference Network.
