个人简介
I am interested in studying electronic structure of novel and functional materials by spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES). We are working on various novel materials including topological insulators, Weyl semimetals, superconductors, transition metal dichalcogenides, and transition metal oxides. Due to the extreme surface sensitivity of photoelectron spectroscopy techniques, we need in-situ sample/surface preparation under ultra-high vacuum conditions. ARPES also requires atomically flat surfaces, therefore we need high-quality single crystalline samples. We usually cleave or exfoliate ex-situ grown single crystals under ultra-high vacuum, or sputter and anneal to clean and re-crystallize the surfaces. We also specialize in material synthesis, density functional theory calculations, and collaborate with other synchrotron facilities and research groups worldwide. We have in-situ Pulsed LASER Deposition system to grow thin films, we are also able to de-cap ex-situ grown films by heating and annealing.
