I am currently Associate Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Coimbra (Portugal). I conduct multidisciplinary research focused on the study of coastal and marine hazards using field data (sedimentological, geomorphological, geophysical and geochemical) combined with empirical and numerical modeling in order to understand the impacts caused by natural disasters (tsunamis, storms, floods)
