个人简介
Peter Littlewood is an internationally renowned physicist who has made seminal contributions to the theory of collective phenomena in condensed matter physics. He studies the phenomenology and microscopic theory of high-temperature superconductors, transition metal oxides and other correlated electronic systems, as well as the optical properties of highly excited semiconductors.
He is an expert in research conducted in both industrial and academic environments. His methods have been applied to problems in engineering, including holographic data storage, the construction of optical fibres and devices, and of new materials for particle detectors. He currently leads efforts to address contemporary challenges in energy and the environment.
Peter has published more than 200 articles in scientific journals and has given hundreds of invited talks at international conferences, universities and laboratories. He currently holds six patents and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, the American Physical Society and an Associate Member of The World Academy of Sciences.
