Ahmad Osman received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Erlangen, Germany, and INSA-Lyon, Villeurbanne, France, in 2013. He is currently a Professor and Chair for Sensor Technologies, Signal and Image Processing with the Saarland University of Applied Sciences, Saarbrücken, Germany, and also a Group Manager with Fraunhofer IZFP, Saarbrücken, Germany. His research interests include nondestructive testing, intelligent systems for industrial inspection, image processing, and machine learning.
