Oscar Laurent

As an igneous petrologist and geochemist, I study the sources, temporal-chemical evolution and emplacement mechanisms of granitoid magmas with the aim to understand the formation and evolution of the Earth's continental crust throughout geological times. I use an integrated approach to acquire information from the scale of the crust to that of the crystal. I am also interested and involved in (ns, fs)-LA-(MC-)ICP-MS analytical development applied to U-Pb geochronology, radiogenic / stable isotope tracing and fluid / melt inclusions.
