个人简介
Oscar Jaime Restrepo Baena received the M.Sc. degree in environmental impact assessment and the Ph.D. degree in metallurgy and materials from the Universidad de Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain, in 1994 and 1996, respectively.
He was a Postdoc with the R&D Laboratory, Nubiola Company, Barcelona, Spain, where he was the Director of Research and Development. He is a Mining and Metallurgy Engineer with the School of Mines, Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL), Medellín, Colombia, and the Project Lead for mining community engagement in Colombia for the "Responsible Mining, Resilient Communities" project between UNAL and the Colorado School of Mines. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Materials and Minerals, School of Mines, where he leads research projects in extractive metallurgy and coordinates the sustainability group in extractive industries. He is the Director of the Ígnea Observatory Research Group of the UNAL Mining Faculty. He is a part of the Cement and Building Materials Group of Research and has authored numerous scientific articles on extractive metallurgy, sustainability in mining, and ceramic materials published in high-impact international journals. He has directed research projects with national and international funding and served as the Director of the Curriculum Department of Materials and Bioengineering and the Director of Dyna Magazine.
