Omar Franco

Dr Franco’s research focus on understanding the role of the tumor microenvironment in Prostate Cancer from carcinogenesis to metastatic and lethal disease. His lab specializes in the isolation of different tumor-associated cell types from patient samples and use them as in vitro and in vivo disease models. Dr Franco’s work has centered around the characterization of carcinoma associated fibroblasts (CAF) and their pro-tumorigenic properties properties for tumor progression.
