Olivier Hagolle

Olivier Hagolle received the engineer degree from the Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité, Gif-Sur-Yvette, France, in 1990. Since 1990, he has been with the French Space Agency (CNES), Toulouse. From 1990 to 2002, he focused on satellite image quality and optical sensors calibration methods. In 2002–2004, he developed algorithms for the correction of directional effects for low resolution optical instruments such as VEGETATION, AVHRR, MERIS. Since 2004, he is with the Centre d'Etudes Spatiales de la Biosphère (CESBIO), Toulouse, France, where he coordinates the level 2 specifications for the Ven$\mu\hbox{s}$ sensor, which combines high resolution, frequent revisit, and constant viewing angles. He focuses on the development of methods for estimating the aerosol optical depth over terrestrial surfaces.
