Nathan S. Netanyahu was with the Space Data and Computing Division, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Israeli Ministry of Defense, Tel Aviv, Israel, and the Center for Excellence in Space Data and Information Sciences, NASA/GSFC. He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel, and also with the Gonda Brain Research Center, Bar-Ilan University, and the Center for Automation Research/UMIACS, University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA. He has co-authored roughly 100 refereed papers that appeared in journals, international conference proceedings, and book chapters. He co-edited the books Computer and Games, 4th International Conference (Springer Verlag, 2006) and Image Registration for Remote Sensing (Cambridge University Press, 2011). His research interests include the areas of computational intelligence, computational statistics, image processing, pattern recognition, and remote sensing. Dr. Netanyahu has served as an Associate Editor of Pattern Recognition.
