Noa Kekuewa Lincoln Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor with the University of Hawaii at Mānoa in the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources and an Associate Researcher with the University of Canterbury in the Ngai Tahu Research Centre. His research focuses on coupled human and natural systems with an emphasis on terrestrial and human ecology. The interaction between humans and their environment is a core theme of cultural development and sustainable management, both key aspects of Dr. Lincoln’s work. Dr. Lincoln has applied these concepts to restoration ecology, multiple use water management, cultural education and empowerment, and food and agricultural systems. His primary focus is on indigenous knowledge and agricultural cropping systems, and applying these concepts to modern food sustainability issues in the Pacific.
