Working on the improvement of rice grown in saline coastal regions of India and particularly Sundarbans
- Morphological and Molecular characterization of landraces
- Genetics of salinity tolerance in rice
- Varietal development for salinity & submergence tolerance
- Allele mining for salinity tolerance in rice
- Marker assisted selection
In future, I will work on arsenic toxicity tolerance in rice and genomic selection based breeding strategies.
