Nitin's core expertise lies in mining very large (Terabytes or more) data sets to find directly actionable insights that target structural inefficiencies in existing businesses, or identify new/overlooked business opportunities.
He is currently a part of the Engg team at Groupon in Palo Alto,CA.
Before that, he was a part of the Ads Quality team at Google. He was responsible for using data mining to evaluate and improve quality of Google's Search Ads, use clickstream analysis to understand user behavior, make the auctions marketplace more efficient, and optimize yield from search traffic on Google.
Before that, he spent 5 years at Yahoo's Strategic Data Solutions group. He led a Data Mining research group was responsible for using data mining to improve user experience, targeting of ads, and using data insights to support executive decision making on Yahoo's product and business strategy.
