Nicolas Asquier received the National Engineering degree in acoustics and vibrations from the University of Technology of Compiègne, Compiègne, France, in 2016. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Laboratory of Therapeutic Applications of Ultrasound, French Institute of Health and Medical Research, Lyon, France, U1032 on the ultrasound-induced opening of the blood–brain barrier (BBB) and optimization of exposure conditions with an implantable ultrasound system.
His current research interests include the development of an image processing method to quantify the BBB-opening reliably with the use of MRI and the localization of the cavitation phenomenon using an implantable, transcranial, and unfocused transducer.
