He collaborates with radioactive material-based research groups across Hunter College to ensure safety compliance. Compliance areas include shipping and receiving of radioactive materials; assisting the groups with radioactive material handling; radiation safety training for students, staff, and faculty, and communicating with the New York City Department of Health for licensure. His present research focuses on synthesis of ligands for 89Zr, 227Th, 45Ti, 177Lu, 44Sc and radioisotopes of lanthanides for applications in radio medicine (molecular imaging and therapy) and development of organic ligand-based resins for radiometal-isotope extraction and harvesting.
