Nuno Gracias

Nuno Gracias received the Ph.D. degree in computer vision and robotics from the Instituto Superior Técnico, Technical University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2003. After the Ph.D. degree, he joined the Underwater Vision and Imaging Laboratory, University of Miami, as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Since 2008, he has been a Senior Researcher with the Computer Vision and Robotics Group, University of Girona, where he held Ramon y Cajal and TECNIOspring fellowships. He has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed technical articles, and participated in more than ten national and international research projects. His research interests span the areas of underwater computer vision and robotics, namely on vision-based control, large area mapping for marine sciences, image restoration and immersive visualization.
