I am a PI at ICSI and a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Statistics at UC Berkeley, where I’m working with Michael Mahoney. I am also part of the RISELab in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS). Before, I was a postdoc at the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington (UW) working with Nathan Kutz and Steven Brunton. I earned my PhD in Statistics at the University of St Andrews, in Dec. 2017. My MSc in Applied Statistics is also from the University of St Andrews. My research is concerned with the development of algorithmic tools for scientific machine learning (SciML) and high-dimensional data analysis. Therefore, I am fusing ideas from randomized numerical linear algebra, deep learning and dynamical systems theory. I am also interested in AI safety and the development of robust and stable machine learning algorithms.
