个人简介
As a Senior Scientist, I am involved in one way or another in producing and supervising the production of radiotracers and introducing new ones to the nuclear medicine services, as the only place capable of such a rare specialty. I have worked hard in pursuing a research and development program in my field of interest.
Having long service years post-doctorate and over thirty years of experience in the field of radiopharmaceuticals chemistry, my work is directed into five main paths:
1) Enhancing the efforts in the transferring technology program; by producing all needed/suggested PET radiotracers (approved and/or investigational) for clinical use. Producing products, as investments, will contribute widely to the vision of the department and the Research Centre.
2) Concentrate on new research and development programs by taking the lead in several directions;
• Improved labeling procedures.
• Automate existing radiosynthesis pathways, which is an important window for companies’ collaboration.
• Lead and mentor scientific staff to find new chemical/biological precursors for certain biological targets (illness) and establish all experimental steps needed to go from bench to bedside as a final labeled product.
• Keep enhancing the collaboration between our lab and all interested groups locally and internationally.
3) Increase my involvement in academic activities (training, postgraduate mentorship, ... etc).
4) Intensify the publication and presentation activities of our findings.
5) Tackling/Finding all possible ways of finding funding resources.
Looking for a challenging work environment to expand and enhance the use of radioactive isotopes and their tracers diagnostically and/or therapeutically.
