Mohammad Yaqub (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Oxford. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), specializing in AI applications in healthcare, focusing on medical image analysis and radiomics. He leads the BioMedIA Group, MBZUAI, developing machine-learning solutions for healthcare challenges. With extensive teaching and research experience, his expertise spans AI, machine learning, big data, and biomedical image analysis. He is also a University Lecturer in IT services with the University of Oxford and a Research Fellow with the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. His career includes a six-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford, over seven years in industry, and roles as a consultant and the Vice President of Engineering at Intelligent Ultrasound Ltd. He continues to contribute to academia as a Visiting Fellow at Oxford’s clinical neurosciences and vascular imaging centers.
