Mohammad Gharesifard is an expert in the filed of public participation for water and environmental management. He has a mixed socio-technical background that ranges from Civil Engineering to Water Resources Management and social sciences, as well as several years of consultancy, research, and project management experience in the water industry, and large-scale EU-funded innovation and research projects. Since 2014 he has been conducting research in the context of a number of EU-funded research & innovation projects, including WeSenseIt, Ground Truth 2.0, MICS and WeObserve, and he is currently the coordinator of the CitiMeasure project. Mohammad's research interests include social, institutional, and political aspects of water and environmental governance, public participation processes, (social) innovation studies, policy analysis, participatory governance processes, citizen science, stakeholder engagement and co-creation of knowledge.
