Rahman Mohammad Arif

As a Staff Scientist at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), I am dedicated to conducting research in the field of HIV/SIV vaccine efficacy. My primary objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the adaptive and innate immune responses elicited by HIV/SIV vaccination, with a particular emphasis on identifying the correlates of protection. In pursuit of this goal, my research focuses on investigating both mucosal and systemic immune responses, as they play crucial roles in shaping the overall effectiveness of vaccines against HIV/SIV. By employing state-of-the-art methodologies and cutting-edge techniques, I aim to unravel the complex dynamics of the immune response in order to contribute to the development of improved preventive measures and therapeutic interventions.
