Dr. YANG Mo received the B.E. and M.S. degrees in Power Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China, in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside, in 2004. From Jan 2005 to Oct 2005, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Mechanical Engineering of Boston University and then he joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in October 2005. Dr. Yang is currently an Associate Professor at Interdisciplinary Division of Biomedical Engineering in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Yang’s research focuses on nanomaterials based biosensors and biomedical micro-devices. He has published ~ 60 papers indexed by ISI Web of Science (Research ID: K-1274-2012; Google scholar: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=Pb1xD6UAAAAJ&hl=en). He has been PI for 4 RGC GRF, 1 NSFC and 1 ITF grants. His works are highlighted by media of Materials Views. Dr. Yang Mo research work about biosensor for foodborne pathogen detection was reported in Science magazine, as part of the report “Hong Kong in Focus: Asia's Research Hub” in 2012
