Miriam T. Stark

I am an anthropological archaeologist who specializes in Southeast Asian archaeology. My archaeological research focuses on political economy, state formation, and urbanism. Since 1996, I have pursued these research strands in field-based archaeological work in Cambodia. My previous ethnoarchaeological background in the Philippines has stimulated a deep interest in the anthropology of technology, and my ceramic research in the American Southwest and in the Philippines reflects this focus.
