个人简介
My research interests are at the intersection of plant development and genomics, chromatin biology and epigenetics. The research effort in my group is focused on harnessing transformative genomics technology to understand the genetics of plant development, and to discover how the cooperative roles of DNA methylation, histone modifications, and RNAi function in establishment and maintenance of epigenetic states throughout plant genomes. We are particularly interested in the roles these mechanisms play in creating and maintaining heritable epigenetic variation in natural populations, as well as in inheritance of epigenetic states in inter- and intra-specific crosses in plants, in order to understand how epigenetic mechanisms contribute to plant development, adaptation, natural selection and evolution.
