个人简介
Milad Niroumand-Jadidi (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in geomatics engineering from the University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran, in 2009, the M.Sc. degree in remote sensing engineering from the K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2013, and the joint Ph.D. degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Trento, Trento, Italy, and the Freie Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 2017.
Since 2017, he has been a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Remote Sensing for Digital Earth (RSDE) Unit, Center for Information and Communication Technology, Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Trento. He is also a Research Fellow with RSLab, University of Trento. His main research interests include remote sensing for environmental applications, particularly monitoring inland/coastal waters. Image processing, multitemporal analysis, machine learning, radiative transfer modeling, and spectroradiometry experiments are key elements of his research.
Dr. Niroumand-Jadidi has received several international awards. Among those, he has received the Best Paper Award from the SPIE Remote Sensing Conference for three years in a row (2015 in Toulouse, 2016 in Edinburgh, and 2017 in Warsaw). He was a recipient of award for potential long-range contribution to the field of optics and photonics from SPIE (The International Society for Optics and Photonics) in 2016 and the Alexander Goetz Instrument Support Award 2016 that provided him access to a field spectroradiometer in the course of Ph.D. research. He is also a Referee for several international journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, Remote Sensing of Environment, and Remote Sensing, Sensors, and Water.
