Mickael Leclercq Research Professional at Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec-Université Laval Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec-Université Laval After many years at university I have acquired vast knowledge in both computer science and computational molecular biology, two passions, resulting ease in the field of research and writing scientific papers. My strong motivation and my perseverance led me to join these two fields in a PhD, where I contributed to research on microRNAs by publishing in high impact factor journals. During these years, I accomplish various tasks such as computer maintenance, installation and administration of servers, design and web hosting, development of databases, graphic design web pages and logos etc. In a more pure algorithmic field, I designed and helped design software using machine learning and data mining. Thus, handling large amounts of genomic data (big data analytics) made familiar with the use of supercomputers. I'm a very resourceful and persevering, seeking solutions to encountered problems and never give up. Self-taught, I regularly have to develop new skills by myself to create personal projects and help people around me
