As research coordinator and senior scientist, the focus of my research is on the identification and validation of microRNAs as prognostic and predictive biomarkers for pleural mesothelioma, both in tissue and cell-free in the blood of patients. In addition, I am investigating the functional relevance of these microRNAs. Furthermore, I am exploring the pathophysiology of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension with the aim to identify new biomarkers and treatment options.
