Michael G.K. Jones

I am Foundation Director of the WA State Agricultural Biotechnology. Research: the molecular basis of pest/pathogen interactions with crop plants (nematodes, insects, viruses), and novel methods of their control. A major interest is in transgenic plants, new breeding technologies, gene editing (eg wheat, potato) and technology regulation. I am keen to see R&D translated into outcomes of benefit to society. I have more than 300 primary publications and have supervised 70 PhD students.
