I am a pediatric retina specialist in Chicago. Fully engaged in clinical practice and research. I have a special commitment to the craft of surgery for complex retina detachment. The diseases of interest range from uncommon (1:5000) to very rare (1:1000000). The understanding of disease starts with pathogenesis and is enhanced by careful, unbiased, direct observations in the office and during surgery. I currently work at Retina Consultants, LTD and am affiliated with University of Illinois Eye and Ear infirmary , Luries' Childrens Hospital, Cook County Hospital and Lutheran General Hospital. The current projects are Stickler Disease (GRT and prophylaxis), Ocular Coloboma, ROP, FEVR, Coats Disease and the association of 'optic nerve, brain and retina'.
