Mike Heap is a professor at the Ecole et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre (University of Strasbourg). His primary interests are time-dependent rock deformation, the mechanical behaviour of volcanic rocks, geothermal energy, reservoirs, rock permeability, the use of natural rocks in construction, and planetary science.
