Dr. Milosevic's research program is grounded in improving the effectiveness of radiotherapy for patients with gynecologic, prostate or other cancers. His research spans the full spectrum from laboratory studies about low tumor oxygen (hypoxia) and immune-related effects on radiotherapy effectiveness, to clinical trials of magnetic resonance-guided radiotherapy and new radiotherapy/drug combinations. His other interests include the development of national standards to ensure that Canadians receive the highest quality and safest radiotherapy and building radiotherapy capacity in developing parts of the world where gynecological cancers are among the most common and most debilitating diseases.
