Mike, PhD in Maths and doctor, worked at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Withington / Wythenshawe Hospitals; teaching/researching Vasculitis, auto-immune systemic/renal disease; fetal-maternal medicine and nephrology. Projects now led by younger team members include 'P and C ANCA in clinical manifestation and 'Biomarkers and outcome in glomerular disease'. Mike worked to serve food/drink; provide showers/fresh clothing for the homeless at the Beacon; but is now returning to work in mathematics
