个人简介
Broadly, my research interests are rooted in systems and networking, in particular distributed systems and algorithms.
I recently completed a post doc in the Mobility and Networking Research group at Microsoft Research in Redmond, where I worked on designing networks for "rack-scale" data centers, in which the number of servers packed into each a rack is increased by an order of magnitude or more as compared to today's data centers.
I received my PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, advised by Amin Vahdat and Keith Marzullo. At UCSD, I worked on challenges in data center communication: enabling scalable communication via strategic label assignment and exploring the relationship between fault tolerance and key properties of hierarchical topologies. I received a B.S. and an M.Eng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 2003 and 2004, respectively
Outside of work, my interests are primarily musical. I have been a member and director of three different a cappella singing groups: The UCSD Beat, The Microsoft Acoustix, and Cornell University's Absolute A Cappella.
