My main research topic concerns zoonoses, infectious diseases transmitted to humans from an animal reservoir. I am responsible for the national reference center for tularemia. Under the direction of Prof. D. Raoult, I have also been involved in the field of rickettsioses, Q fever, bartonellosis, and ehrlichiosis.my skills include the cultivation of difficult-growing bacteria, cell cultures, serological methods, molecular biology methods, evaluation of the sensitivity of bacteria (including intracellular bacteria) to antibiotics, and the resistance mechanisms involved.
