The main goal is to generate drug response profiles to identify biomarkers and drugable targets in order to improve endocrine treatment response. Integration of results will aid in optimized treatment of individual patients with respect to choice of drugs and dose and duration. The objectives are to characterize the genotype and phenotype of tumors and cell lines and integrate these to obtain expression profiles and pathways associated with drug responses. To assess whether biomarkers are putative drugable targets, functional studies in cell lines are performed.
The main goal is to establish sensitive digital PCR and genome-wide and targeted NGS methods for detection and quantification of ctDNA in blood of patients with solid cancers, and to correlate ctDNA at baseline and at later timepoints to disease and clinical outcome after (targeted) therapies. These studies are predominantly performed in patients with mainly breast, prostate, colon, or ovarian cancer.
