At Stanford, I lead the Ultrafast Electronics and Nanophotonics Group, where we explore new phenomena and revolutionary applications of light-matter interactions at the nanoscale, including pushing electronics to their ultimate limits. At LCLS, I oversee the Science and R&D Division, leveraging the world’s most powerful X-ray laser for groundbreaking discoveries that can reshape the future.

With over two decades in academia and user facilities, I have extensive expertise in physics, nanotechnology, spectroscopy, optics, lasers, ultrafast science, and X-ray research.
