Bio
Matthew J. Hobbs received the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K., in 2009 and 2014, respectively.
From 2013 to 2016, he was a Knowledge Transfer Associate with Land Instrument International Ltd., Dronfield, U.K., in collaboration with the University of Sheffield. He has been a Research Associate with the University of Sheffield. His current research interests include design, optimization, and evaluation of novel instrumentation for noncontact infrared temperature measurements and thermal imaging, and the application of novel and commercial infrared photodetector technology within such instrumentation.
