Matthew I. Hutchings

I am a Group Leader at the John Innes Centre, an independent research institute based on the Norwich Research Park, UK and a centre of excellence for plant science and microbiology. My research interests focus on the filamentous actinomycetes which make most of the antibiotics in clinical us, understanding how these antibiotics are used in nature by the bacteria themselves and by plants and animals and how their production is regulated by host and environmental signals.
