Bio
My research interests are to investigate human neurophysiology of movement and how we can use different techniques (ex. brain stimulation, exercise) to positively adapt the brain. Specifically, I use EEG, TMS, MEG, MRI and behavior to determine how different neural networks, including the basal ganglia, prefrontal cortex, motor areas and primary sensory cortices, interact for motor control in both health and disease (ex. Parkinson's disease). I am currently an Assistant Professor and Director of the new Sensorimotor Adaptations and Control Neurophysiology (SACNeurophys) lab under in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science (KHS) at Sac State. Ultimately, I hope my research can help inform prevention, treatment or rehabilitation to treat a variety of disorders affecting movement.
