I'm a biologist (bachelors degree 2002), with a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution (2013), and my research interests include Paleobiology, Biogeography, and Macroecology. I've focused on analyzing biodiversity patterns through time by integrating ecological models, fossil data, and paleoclimatic simulations. This integrated approach has been an excellent playground to connect research fields and improve theoretical models. The scope of this work yielded me the Brazilian Capes Thesis Award in 2014.
