Martin Hillebrandt

Martin Hillebrandt studied Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Aerospace Structures at the University of Braunschweig. He graduated mid of 2011 and works as research assistant at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in the Institute of Composite Structures and Adaptive Systems. He specialized in the fields of deployable structures and spacecraft structures. His expertise includes projects such as the drag and solar sails De-Orbit Sail and Gossamer. He is currently involved in the deployable solar array development within DLR's GoSolAr project and is in charge of the boom deployment mechanism design.
