Linking Cell Signaling and Membrane Traffic
Our lab is interested in mechanisms by which receptor-mediated signaling systems are organized and regulated in complex metazoan cells. We are exploring a set of membrane trafficking mechanisms that deliver receptors to specific membrane locations, and that change the organization or location of signaling complexes in response to physiological and pharmacological stimuli. We are particularly interested in how these mechanisms contribute to specificity and plasticity of signal transduction in mammalian neurons.
